Three of the home bases that can be unlocked are the Savini Residence, the Kirkman Residence, and the Snyder Trucking Warehouse. All are named after people who are well-known for their work in zombie fiction. The first is named for Tom Savini, the makeup artist on Dawn of the Dead (1978). The second is named for Robert Kirkman, the creator of The Walking Dead (2010) and its origin comic book. The third is named for Zack Snyder, the director of Dawn of the Dead (2004).
