There are 6 game variations. In games 1, 2 and 3, the distance between the hurdles is uniform with the computer-controlled horse's racing ability being poor, good and excellent, respectively. In games 4, 5 and 6, the distance between the hurdles is random with the computer-controlled horse's racing ability being poor, good and excellent, respectively. The difficulty switches are not used.
