General Meades Fighting Days

This is a war story, with plenty of the thrilling scenes which make war glorious in the minds of very many people. The conditions which are here presented might have existed anywhere during those stirring times in the Civil War; the story is not improbable. The ebb and flow of battle, with its ghastly consequences, is far too real to be pleasant. The love tale interwoven, helped by the intervention of General Meade's men, is interesting. Conditions in war are so involved and there is so much difficulty in understanding what really happens that any mixture in the situations in this film may be overlooked. The action is excellent and the audience looked on with unabated attention from beginning to end. - The Moving Picture World, May 6, 1911
