Storyline
This is a government short covering the testing of a Hydrogen Bomb, and its effects on various buildings, bomb, electric lines, and other paraphernalia that enabled civilization in the 1950s. A young woman, who identifies herself as a reporter, shows up and asks about several issues. She is instantly answered by a radio-announcer baritone, mature, confident, and pretty creepy in its certainty.
Given the state of knowledge about what goes on during an atomic explosion, these tests made some sense at the period. The most interesting part, though, is the slow-motion, soundless sequence when the blast goes off and overwhelms various structures.
