The Battle of the Somme began in northern France on July 1st. 1916. By the end of the first day over 58,00 were injured or dead. It was the single bloodiest day in the history of war. Captain R. Sterling Grimm awakens on July 2nd expected to lead a charge on the enemy lines. Unwilling to re-face the horrors of war, Grimm charges into enemy territory and inevitable death. Two soldiers are forced to choose between saving their suicidal captain and saving their own lives.
