Taxicab driver Jimmy Doyle (Pat O'Brien) marries a girl of the streets, Mae (Carole Lombard); overlooking her past, he sets out to make an honest woman of her. But during the reformation period, Mae returns to a hotel of ill repute to collect the $200 that she had once loaned to a street-walking girl friend.
