Storyline
While the song doesn't work at all and becomes one of Rolling Stones weakest efforts in ages, "Scarlet" as a music video is a curious exercise for actor Paul Mescal to showcase his talents, his expressions and movements as he plays a lonely drunk guy who sends a video of himself dancing and moving around inside a hotel room. His physicality is amazing, as he moves from place to place, plays around with the camera, or at other times crying as drunk, or dancing and lipsynching the song as Mick Jagger performs as the original voice. Mescal is the main attractive; and the song is just repetitive and dull. Worthy of view because of its leading actor. 8/10.
