The role of Jessica was originated by Mary Elizabeth Winstead on the premiere episode which aired on July 5th, 1999, and would remain in the role for less than a year before last airing on March 28th, 2000. Following Winstead's departure, the role was recast with Jade Harlow, who first aired on June 8th, 2000. In August 2002, Harlow opted not to renew her contract with the series but remained with the series in a recurring capacity.[1] In June 2003, it was announced that Harlow had officially been let go, and she last aired on July 1st. [2] The role was recast with Danica Stewart, who first aired on July 10th, 2003. Stewart last aired as a series regular on August 14th, 2007[3] but returned for two guest appearances on January 7th [4] and July 16th, 2008.[5]
