It turns out that the experience of being a black person in America today isn’t so different then it was during the 50’s and 60’s. Host Alvin Hall invites you in to explore the highway and byways and hotels that made up a safe haven for Black America during a tumultuous time in our nation’s history where you had the freedom to drive anywhere you wanted but you had to use the Green Book and other guides to be safe and free from harassment in places where you knew you weren’t wanted.
