The Liminal Lands

Sure, it is a trope that has been around and done many times of a person alone in the world. But that doesn't make it any less enjoyable. We learn and grow alongside the main character, which occasionally getting glimpses in to what his absence has done back home, making you care even more about his journey home. Hopefully home.

The world our Main Character comes to in is just different enough from ours to add struggle and trial for him to overcome while not being so daunting as to remove all hope. Be it from the Main Character or the listener.

Good steady pacing, fun off shoots, and running the full gamut of emotions.
