Die Ware Naarheid Met Schalk Bezuidenhout

"Die Ware Naarheid" is a news satire television program. It airs each Monday evening on kykNET and is recorded in front of a live studio audience. The show opens with a topical monologue by Schalk Bezuidenhout, which he delivers from his desk. Describing itself as a satirical news program, "Die ware naarheid" draws its comedy and satire from recent news stories, political figures and media organisations. Schalk Bezuidenhout, the shows host, often uses self-referential humour and together with his corespondents (Erns Grundling and Bibi Slippers) bring the audience a tongue in cheek play-by-play of current affairs.
