Laurie the Lousy Fairy

You know, I feel like Dreamworks TV is being overlooked as a cheap knockoff media outlet rather than an incubator of surprisingly entertaining content. I'm specifically talking about the animation department here. Laurie The Lousy Fairy is an animated short format program about a teenage fairy who is sweet, kind, but can't quite grasp her magical abilities, leading to some some twisted results. These three shorts made me laugh not just because of its purposely dry writing, but its purposely cheap animation style, surprisingly twisted and crude gags, purposely stumbling voice acting, and how each plot ends up having Laurie attempt her magic with worse and worse results until everything somehow works out in the end (or not). The point is, if you look hard enough, in places you've never even looked before, you just might be in for a delightful surprise. I really hope they make more of these shorts. I really do..
