It originally aired on April 8, 2012, on Oklahoma City NBC affiliate KFOR-TV. In a slightly modified version broadcast on Jimmy Kimmel Live, it was edited as if she was being interviewed by Jesus himself. The video garnered Sweet Brown many appearances on television, including a visit to ABC's The View. Brown also plays a cameo role in the Tyler Perry 2013 movie A Madea Christmas saying a part of her line from her television interview during an interview at the end of the movie. As of June 2021, the original videos uploaded at the time have a combined total of 34.5 million views.
